Something you're working on in Senate:
I'm currently working on an Undocumented Student Resource Guide. There's no doubt that undocumented students on this campus have a different set of rules and laws governing their life and how they go about it, and UT provides a great amount of resources for students. However, these resources and instructions for undocumented students is scattered on a bevy of webpages. The information is there, it's just hard to find it all. This legislation doesn't seek to create any new information or resources, but to consolidate all of the information onto a single webpage so it is easier and more convenient to access.
Something you like to do outside of Senate:
I love to brunch! Brunching on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, with friends with family. I love trying new places and going to old favorites. It's such a fun hobby (and tasty too)! My favorite brunch spot in Austin probably Juniper or Perla's.
I'm really passionate about cities and making them accessible and affordable to all. So many people live in cities but even to this day cities present so many unique challenges. Land Use and Zoning affects all of this so much. It's so fascinating how much these rules determine every aspect of our everyday life. I really believe that better zoning and land use can solve many of the problems plaguing cities and I'm really passionate about solving these and working towards better cities. My life goal is to make a difference in this regard. I also just want a happy life!

Words from the Co-Chairs:
"We chose Chandler as ALOW because from the moment he was selected for the committee he showed incredible passion and conviction. This early in the year he is already underway with two separate legislative initiatives to help students at UT have a better and more holistic academic experience. Chandler has again and again demonstrated how dedicated he is to policy, to APC, and to the University as a whole. Additionally, he's super kind, friendly and approachable to our new at larges." -David & Katie
